AWS Architect

In this role, you can help people to take care of their heart by developing CardioSignal software products for next-generation cardiac monitoring. Your main duties will be designing and implementing our backend architecture on AWS environment. As an AWS architect, you will ensure that CardioSignal software will be high quality and will provide a world-class cloud service. You will contribute to CE-marked and FDA cleared medical-grade software. Despite the regulation and quality system we follow, we are a flexible and agile startup.
What we are looking for
We are currently looking for a motivated full-time experienced AWS architect who is not afraid of responsibility, is able to evaluate different design alternatives and drive CardioSignal services to the next level. You are proud of the architecture you design and the code you write, and you are not afraid of showcasing your achievements.
You keep your knowledge up-to-date and strive for continuous improvement. We value your ability to write a good, robust, secure and reusable code that has a great performance. Your daily work includes AWS architecture design, hands-on coding, reviewing pull requests, designing services and work together with the other team members. Your work will be foundation to CardioSignal Mobile Application and supporting services.
Cardiosignal is an AWS native solution with an AWS backend and a Flutter based frontend for iOS and Android. The backend is built following serverless and micro service principles and relies heavily on AWS Lambda functions written in Python. CardioSignal is a medical device and we follow ISO27001 and ISO13485 in our operations, including SW development.
In this role you will:
- Design and implement AWS architecture for CardioSignal Cloud Service
- Research and design technical solutions for the new features
- Document software architecture, code documentation, process documentation
- Follow the processes defined by Precordior’s quality management system
- Work as a part of the distributed team of frontend and backend developers, product manager, researchers, and other professionals.
- Use Slack and Teams in your daily communication.
If you:
- Have in depth understanding how to design globally scalable solution architectures in AWS environment and familiarity with AWS serverless services
- Master Python
- Have experience of 5+ years or equivalent
- Enjoy working in a small multidisciplinary development team, have good team working skills and also enjoy working independently, and
- Have good command in English (required)
- Have work permit and are living in Finland
